Probably got asked by capcom to take it down because they might add her and wesker to mercenaries or it could have been fear also because left up might get a lawsuit from them.

I doubt this is the problem, the playable Rose mod for RE: Village was never taken down and that was released before the dlc came out

All I know is that xRaq added the mod on his/her Patreon and it's behind an pay wall of 23 dollars, witch is weird since the post was public before, I don't support payed mods and I'm not about to start now.

Doesn't really prove anything. That could be spun in either direction. For example:
"they didn't take down the playable rose mod, and they dlc saw lower than expected sales as a result"
or
"They did really follow the mod scene closely with the previous game, but the harassment levied towards the Ada VA has made them watch the social media space more closely for these key terms, which in turn, led them to discovering the mod and subsequently patching it out."
