Only Pistol and Knife Achievement

Hi, the achievement says that i have to complete the game by using only Knifes and Pistols does that mean i can’t even carry a Shotgun in my inventory?
Or can carry all the weapons just don’t use them?

i believe you can carry the weapons you just can't use them

Just don't fire anything that doesn't use handgun bullets unless it's a weapon the story is forcing you to use. This includes throwing eggs and using turrets.

the only condition (as far as i know) is that you can't damage enemies with any other weapon. you can also check the minimalist challenge in the pause menu, as long as it says 0, you're fine

You can use the turret for the AA gun. No you cant use eggs. The throw egg at painting side quest killed many many minimalist runs.

No no no lol sorry. Like Tyres said there's a side quest where you have to throw an egg at a painting. That will invalidate the achievement. Happened to me. I also goofed and mowed down a bunch of enemies with turrets which I believe also discounts the achievement.

If the game tells you to use something, you'll be fine. Like the instance Tyres mentioned where you need to destroy a structure with a turret in the story.

• Aim with the infra-red scope

You cannot:

• Shoot with non-handguns
  
• throw grenades
  
• throw eggs

Use the challenges menu and check the "Minimalist" challenge, always keep it at 0 points.

That’s the only problem i see Rest is easy cheesy

There is 2 regenerator that you have to dealt it (Used to be only one, by skipping the chapter 14 door), aim with the infrared scope, spot the weak spots, and hold the trigger open a hole in them and shoot the parasite, the iron maiden is dealt by shooting their mouth until it works.

You can aim with the rifle, just shoot it with the pistol when you spot it.

smh I'm pretty sure I failed this one because I used the cannon in the castle, it did blast open the gate but killed some random zealot in the process... I didn't care to check in the challenges menu and did overwrite the save multiple times... meh.

Not true, you can kill them with the cannon without any issues, otherwise the el gigante at the castle walls would make you fail the challenge

This thread cleared a lot of things fro me but ive 100% few days ago.
During my challenge i did include the no merchnat and no healing so i was only equipped with knives and a pistol with cat ears lol. SO i dont use something else by accident.
