Buying Broken Butterfly special deal in Ch7 is not a big loss. Since you will start crafting magnum ammo, Broken Butterfly is an ideal makeshift magnum to help you before Ch13 doing the switch to Killer7.
Resources (both type) also have drastically reduced rng drop chance the further you are into the game. Start crafting as early as you can, then purchase resource S from merchant if you already has 17 gunpowder but the rng had not give you any resource S yet.
By the time you reach Ch13, you can just buy Killer7 and not wait for its special deal in Ch15. Start utilize Killer7 from Ch13.
If we talk about "needing" most of us wouldnt need anything besides the BAR and Riot gun.
Killer7 is a fun, balanced gun. Yolo stomping with unlimited handcannon also is fun but gets boring quick. Deleting brutes,, mini bosses and such with the Killer7 will always be a nice thing next to headshotting everything with the BoltActionRifle.
Am thinking like you folks in that I am saving inventory space for a rocket launcher for boss fights. Also keeping 80,000 pesetas to buy one.
I could buy Killer 7 on discount and store it for later games. While also being able to afford a rocket launcher I think.
I have approx 120,000 pesetas so Killer 7 cost about 47,000, leaving about 73,000 pesetas. Might get more pesetas before next boss fight. Or could sell something like a gem, or the crossbow which I barely used. Crossbow might be useful once upgraded in NG+ though.
I stopped playing and saved to ask advice. Was not sure if next door I opened might be the next chapter, then I might lose Killer 7 sale price. Anyway, thanks everyone.
Ofc you can buy it now and use it in your ng+ run. Actually. Is a wise thing to do. On standard.. saddler also isnt that big of a deal so if it's your very first playthrough.. do saddler without the rpg. Seeing the full fight ONCE imho is important.
I have a few gems anyway so no problemo making up any cash. I could sell Krauser's knife if I got desperate. I have a sub-machine-gun and an assault rifle stored. Still might make more cash before any boss fight.
Yeah and crafting is expensive. Was thinking maybe keep the cash and use it upgrading a couple more stats on the Stingray.
With the Killer 7 being on sale though, it might be worth getting for NG+, storing and using occasionally when ammo drops.
Magnums are generally reserved for Hard enemies and Bosses and that's it. That's why their ammo is generally scarce.
The problem here is that there are a few weapons that can easily fill that role and ammo is way more plentiful. The best one being the SR M1903 rifle.

10.6 thanks to it's Exclusive
31.8 Damage if you hit a weak spot
Penetration
Can us all 3 Rifle Scopes ( although, I actually prefer the iron sights on this weapon )
Decent Rate of fire when fully upgraded
and best of all, Rifle Ammo is far more plentiful then Magnum Ammo. Crafting it yields 7 bullets minimal too.
As for the magnums, I have the most fun with the BB with infinite ammo, but Killer7 is the most usable. Just the fact that you hit where you aim makes it amazing. If you have so limited ammo, I feel like it's best to make sure you don't miss.
I can't remember why I did not get it. It was possibly inventory space because I remember from time to time seeing the not enough space notice. I must have assumed that the Stingray was a better rifle as it came later. Plus I recall seeing a website saying it was.
The exclusive upgrade for the Stingray is fire-rate which it kind of needs. I see now that while the SR M1903 has a lower fire rate, it hits harder.
Doesn't matter though. I like my weapons. The Stingray usually one shots what I use it for. Though occasionally I want to fire more than once with it, and am held back by fire-rate.
