Matilda or Red9

So now I have Matilda with stock and Red9 at the same time, but from what I observed, even when Matilda has more power than Red9, it still seems to deal less damage than Red9, yet it shoots way faster and has more ammo, but at the same time the ammo go pretty fast due to burst fire.
So, yeah
Red9 - Better damage
Matilda - More ammo and faster shooting
Which one to choose?

That's why. People hate using the Matilda because of ammo consumption. If you are using infinite ammo, then obviously, that is no longer an issue.

Don't read too hard into the "hate" term. It is just one of the least popular pistols because of the ammo consumption.

If you do have cat ears, then it's one of the strongest weapons in the game. It's a 2000 rpm gun. The DPS is better than any other handgun by a mile, and makes minimalist trivial.

I just unlocked Cat Ears and I have been using Matilda since my first play through. The Cat Ear crutch is just not true. It is still one of the strongest weapons in the game with or without Cat Ears. You have a versatile smg that you can use to shred mobs or DPS bosses. It gives the excessive handgun ammo you receive a purpose.

Yup, I have always viewed the Matilda in this game as a better TMP that uses handgun ammo. You can even easily pop single shots off, making the only downside of it more or less a moot point.

Honestly, Silver ghost fully upgraded with laser sight.

5x damage and the ability to maximum focus every times due to laser means it doesn't take much more bullets to kill enemies.

Matilda is when you get the cat ears.
