Family share save?
If I play through family share does my save carry on if I buy the full game?

This game doesn't support family share either way but if they were playing it through the PC you're using the save would be tied to the original steam account and you would start fresh. Even if your PC is authorized under his account though.

It actually does support it, I'm playing it from a friend's library.

Huh? Steam sharing is either supported, or not. If the game is supported, you can play via family sharing, if it's not, you can't even install it. Either way, the saves are stored locally, and have nothing to do with the account that is flagged as owning the game.

OP, your save will remain regardless if you continue to play through family sharing, or if you register the game to your own account.

Huh?

-It does support family sharing, it's only the Mercenaries free DLC that doesn't (which is likely an oversight).
-Saves on games played through family sharing are still tied to your account. If OP buys the game, they'll keep their save. It even works with Cloud Saving.
