The amount of "-You gotta be kidding me" Leon lines

I guess the westerner C-tier writers that were responsible for the dialog in this game have to be one of the worst out there. How lazy and creatively bunkrupt a writer must be to throw not just a couple, but dozens of the exact same lazy lines of dialog into a videogame such as Resident Evil?

Japanese jokes translated into English might have been silly and nonsensical in the original RE games, but at least they were fun. This "-you gotta be kidding me" and its variations are so boring and unfun it actually pulls you out of the game.

I don't remember it much tbqh.
I play in japanese and the lines that stick with me is "story of my life", and that iconic Ada line "You think you change but you haven't".
