Hot CPU temps
I know this is a brand new AAA title, but just curious if anyone has had unusually higher CPU temps than expected like I'm getting.

Legion 5, RTX 3060, Ryzen 7, high settings with ray tracing off.

Getting 73-76°C CPU temp, 55° GPU. RE2 demanded 63-66° CPU temp in comparison, which virtually all my games either also run at or stay below. This normal for RE4?

My CPU regularly hits 90c+ when playing most demanding games, and has never once crashed because of temperatures, so you're fine as well.

It's mostly longevity I'm concerned of, not acute crashing per se. That's why I like to keep it as cool as possible.

CPU's these days are much better designed than they used to be, and they have all kinds of safety features built in, so unless you electrocute or take a sledgehammer to your motherboard, you'll be fine.
My CPU temps never go that high up because I have an AIO on mine(closed liquid cooler). My gpu temps don't reach high temps either.

Honestly. It's not that bad. But you can tinker with the graphic settings a lil bit and see if that decreases temperature.

The graphics settings only seemed to affect GPU temps, which is why I left them on high as the GPU had no issues. The physics settings didn't really affect CPU temp at all either.. The only other game I've ever had this issue with was Far Cry 3 (still cooks my CPU), but that had a known issue with using multiple CPU cores properly. So I guess either RE4 is just CPU heavy, or maybe it has a similar issue to FC3 with CPU optimization.

I have ryzen 7 2700x.. with one of the best air coolers there are and this game surely heats it up.

Dont remember exact temps but I remember them being in the higher normal sector. As long as they dont go over 85°. All good.

If you have a bad cooler you can adjust the graphic or cap your fps. Pumping more FPS work your CPU more than GPU.
