CPU's these days are much better designed than they used to be, and they have all kinds of safety features built in, so unless you electrocute or take a sledgehammer to your motherboard, you'll be fine.
I have ryzen 7 2700x.. with one of the best air coolers there are and this game surely heats it up.
Dont remember exact temps but I remember them being in the higher normal sector. As long as they dont go over 85°. All good.
