missing a head that is entirely inside a crosshair so idiots can cry "Aim not bad, player is bad!" hoping Capcom pats them on the head and call the a good boy can't be done if everything has a laser sight by default.
I honestly started laughing when I saw a screenshot of the TMP that says "Perks: Can equip a stock" that isn't a perk! A perk is a benefit, not "less terrible aim sold separately"
In RE2 Claire has a gun with a laser in it and you can just shoot at it and the bullet will always hit the perfect point. If you keep shooting other weapons the bullet can hit any point inside those four points unless you wait a few seconds so they concentrate their aim.
I don't thing this game will work like RE6. You can literally kick and do martial arts every single movement in 6, you don't need to shot anyone to do the kicking there. They got rid of the laser sight because frankly, it's way too perfect in the aim.
Just play the game and complain after you finish it. The game is not even here and people are comlpaining of the smallest things ever it's silly xD.
Remember RE3 Remake didn't had half of the weapons or ammo types of the original, is cut in half for the content and people kept comlpainign we were whining there. Ironic that the same people who did that are now (and I'm not saying it's you by the way) doing the exact same thing here but for way smaller things. Laser sight and flame grenades, holy hell, soon someone will complain Leon can move while aiming like a normal human being should.
I bet even the least skilled gun person can keep an handgun steady.
I know, game mechanics and everything, but it's cheap.
In the end it makes no difference between a dot or a cross, critics were always rgn.
Sure, while past 20 feet the laser got absurdly waggling and manchildren defend missing a birds nest with a treasure in it as "you just hate deep gameplay". But up close you could use the quick 90 degree turns and have reliable panic aim instead of "Hold on, realism means forgetting how guns work every time I use them." the naive and gullible have been tricked into thinking is somehow immersive.
Also rifle aim was rock solid by default, instead of "Make sure to have worse aim than you trying to fire a gun in real life with no training" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, which certainly helped using the rifle for more than designated sniping moments. we will probably have aiming and shooting the remake rifle function like a drunken earthquake until you max it out or get NG+ only toys. And comparing default scope zoom in classic 4 to Village default scope zoom was also incredibly pathetic. Even if the village rifle ended up "Well, spamming shotgun into glowing weak spots isn't killing them. might as well point blank rifle it" spam for me by the factory, the start was so lackluster.
Place your bets on if Remake 4 threw a tantrum and made it so you can't cleanly blow off the head of a wooden shield guy through their shield with one bullet of a not even maxed out rifle, even when you are playing at 4 am unable to sleep like my last run through classic 4 recently.
Laser sight probably has the critical chance straight on the weapons, while the cross you have to wait until it tightens to get the full crit chance. (this is an actual thing, it's on one of the tips that if you wait until the crosshair gets smaller it has higher crit).
Too many people doing a clickbait article impression saying "But the crit chance!" about the moderator upgrade in RE3 remake, when I finally benched it after realizing I was getting zero pistol head pops or quick true deaths anyways playing it recently.
Sure, the reaction of a labcoat zombie taking two full 3 bursts to the face with the burst pistol is "Walk towards Jill FASTER!" instead of flinching. But hey, it takes less inventory space and can vomit handgun bullets into a glowing weak spot or pale head that survived an upgraded barrel magnum headshot better. And not like the fully upgraded pistol was ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ living up to "But crit bonus! crit bonus is overpowered!"
Village was also really sad about rewarding headshots anyways. couldn't even press a shotgun up to the back of a head execution style without scrawny weak zombies spawning out of the ground merely falling over as if you just pushed them as a light prank instead of dying most of the time. No wonder people obsess over shotguns stunlocking the vampire sisters, they want to distract you from that.
