I am admittedly terrified of them neutering her health betting on people declaring knife durability = realistic to say "Of course she dies in one hit to a flail clipping through your body to hit her behind you even when you upgrade her health to max! YOU JUST HATE REALISM!"
My comedy/serious bet is that Ashley's AI will be great but they undertune her health and make her as vulnerable to nearby grenades as a crow. Take every hot take made about little to no mercy invulnerability for Leon being Deep Survival Horror, and apply that To Ashley getting air juggled to death by crossbow bolts that missed Leon.
If they had co-op ashley, they would not be able to make her pathetic and try to hide behind "Oh no no no, totally skill issues if Ashley dies, honest" when players can clearly see how hamstrung they are for fake difficulty.
I politely and respectfully disagree. I don't recall specific fights cos RE5 was some time ago, and I'm getting old, but more that I'm imagining battles with with conveniences like discord much more common now. Compared to the arse ache that was TS waybackwhen
If it was single player only, people would be crying "Why don't I have to shoot and stab gigante MORE before it dies? CASUAL CALL OF DUTY!". Which we will probably get for RE4 remake if they don't make gigante's literally immortal.
Now Outbreak, a multiplayer/co-op game experience built entirely around that experience, could be a good idea if they give it the proper resources it needs and it doesn't turn out like RE3R or their super terrible multiplayer spinoffs they've attempted.
