I'm thinking of buying 30gb ram because 15 has become far too little, games in general in 4k or other smoking 15/gb and your huge fps drops because of its

Technically it's not "using" that much VRAM, but allocates so game will not load/unload constantly. My 6900 XT was maxed out also, 15/16gb
well its pretty much a given that 4k DLSS+RT is going to eat a lot of VRAM regardless of the game, it's really a 4090 card setting at the end of the day

Thats why i got 2x vram, 1x allocated and 1x dedicated via hwinfo

VRAM as on your graphics card.
Not DDR ram in your PC

I remember raytracing in RE2 being a performance hog, is it improved in this one?

raytracing will always tax alot of performance, i think its not worth, it takes like 20-30+fps in 4k

What gpu are you using? It's been like a 5ish fps difference between Ray Tracing high and off for me on a 4080.

It allocates 15gb vram (even though the game says i only have 14) and I've seen it use a max of 12.
