deaths watered down?
no more head decapitation for leon? tried it a few times against chainsaw guy:steamsad:
is this really a remake?:leon:
edit: reports of people saying there is a decap chainsaw death but only when hes stunned and in a "berzerk phase"?
i tried doing this and nothing happened
so either its real or theres a group of dedicated trolls just making ♥♥♥♥ up to waste peoples time i think its the latter

You can literally get your head chopped off by someone using an axe. Maybe google next time, just saying.
DOOM THE PRIME EVIL Mar 10, 2023 @ 10:49pm

Look for all possible deaths on Youtube. It's 10x more gruesome than what they had in the original.

(still yet to see the acid melting face death). But so far this has a lot more variation and gore, even though the chainsaw guy don't decapitate you anymore, his killing scenes are far more intense.

And yes, there is one death animation that one ganado holds Leon from behind, and the other one chop his head off with an axe.

Softcore. RE2 remake had me cutting off legs and arms so the zombies wouldn't be a problem later. I killed two zombies that both landed in the exact same position, what a joke. No interactions with the corpse. Now I know these zombies wont be getting back up, or the game will do it in a cheap manner.

I grew up with Resident Evil. It has always been about horror and gore, but, RE4 took the softcore route.

well thats cool that didnt make it too tame like re2/ 3 remake
just a liittle bummed on the chainsaw guys signature move being taken out but its not enough to make me drop the game altogether cause the gameplay feels good
i just hope they didnt take too many of the original deaths out

true but other than that cool dismemberment feature the death scenes were super censored
although this is a definitely an improvement as it should be since its a remake of re4 the most brutal game in series
im just a bit concerned theyll take out too much of the original deaths not that i mind them adding new ones but making them too softcore compared to the original ones is kind of a big deal might as well call this a reimagining instead of a remake
its fun tho

Why? Are you planning on dying a lot? Git gud and you won't see any death animation anyway.

I actually even on the original, I only saw the death animations in videos. I played this demo once, didn't die at all and just watch on Youtube all possible death animations montage. I will do the same when the game is out.

re fans are so argumentative lol
im just saying those deaths were what made RE4.. RE4. lol
and made it stand out from the rest of the series

It's not just RE fans. I'm heavily involved in the Dead Space and Doom fan communities and it's like that there as well. It's not the fandom of any particular franchise. It's not even a gamer issue. It's just how people are nowadays, in general. "You have an opinion that is not perfectly in line with my own opinion? F*** you!"

if gitting gud was the issue at hand, i assure you, NOBODY would be complaining about death animations. this just comes off as pretentious.

i too, wanted to see Leon get decapitated by a chainsaw, like old times. sadly, even his new death simply LOOKS brutal without any of the actual dismemberment it alludes to. totally tame, and therefore lame.

I might be wrong and it is kinda almost 20 years ago that i got killed by chainsaw dude in re4 but wasn't it made in a way you cannot actualy see the decapitation? I remember a shifted camera where you can see leon's body drop but you never realy saw the decapitation.

not gunaa lie, this makes me hate humanity's invention of the internet. people can chime in, be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and ruin good moods and things, just because they think they're dominant or something.

respect the human people. please, respect the human.

it did most times, but sometimes you actually could see the decapitation in action. it was glorious.
