Why does Salazar look like an old woman in this?

Isn't he supposed to be around 20 years old in the original? At least original appearance resembled a zombiefied 20 year old but the remake version looks like a granny.

He most certainly didn't look 20 in the original. I thought it was said he had some kind of genetic disorder anyways, hence his height and looking old and the plaga only exacerbated his condition.

In the original Leon called Salazar an old man but he didn't look like an old man at all. So Salazar is supposed to look old and not like a zombified 20 year old.

Regarding the Salazar looking like a woman meme it is lame.

The original he was supposed to look old, but he was only 20- hense AN ENTIRE CUTSCENE ABOUT IT. Here salazar now properly looks old.
