Low-End PC Performance/Consoles Comparison
So i have a Low-End PC, i play mostly Immersive Sims, Retro Shooters, Indie Games, MetroidVanias, etc.
Just wanted to share some info if you have such a PC and you are on verge of buying the game.

Specs are: i5-7600K, 16GB DDR4 2400MHZ RAM, SSD, 1060 6GB FC OC.

No matter how low you go, you will always get 40-60 FPS.
But...

If you can live with 30 FPS, you can use MAXIMUM settings and have a stable 30 FPS, which is much better Fidelity Compared to PS4 Slim, which is around 45 FPS, Low Texture Resolution and 900p, while PC is at 1080P with FidelityFX 2.1
Hair Strands also work on PC, they take up a lot of Frames, on Consoles, they don't have an impact on the performance, at all. Not even a single frame.
Note that VRAM Usage is using for Caching Textures, Low, Medium and High have the difference. Anything above that is just allocating more GPU RAM for Caching. So High 3GB is the same as High 1GB.

PS4 Slim/Base Performance, 45 FPS, 900P. Low Resolution Textures.
PS4 Pro: Fidelity Mode, 30 FPS @ 4K (Could be Dynamic). Low Resolution Textures.
PS4 Pro: Framerate Mode, 60 FPS @ 1080p. Low Resolution Textures.
PS5: Fidelity + RayTracing, 4K 52-56 FPS, good for VRR.
PS5: Framerate, No RayTracing, Dynamic 4K (1880p), Stable 60 FPS, RayTracing On, 2-3 Frame Drops in most Intensive Scenes.
XSX: Fidelity+RayTracing 4K, 42-44 FPS. VRR can help here too, but FPS is a lot lower.
XSX: Framerate, No RayTracing, Dynamic 4K (Similar to PS5), 60 FPS. With RayTracing, a bit lower FPS, but nothing major.

Don't have other systems to test it out sadly. So this will have to do.
So be your own judge if you have a low-end PC and want to play it on Steam.
Comparing mine, and yours, you might get better performance.
But even with my 2017 build, i can use the Highest Settings + 30 FPS without dips.

is ps5 resolution mode + raytracing really in 52-56 fps range? tested it yesterday and it felt much slower than framerate mode
Yes. Used a Framegraph.
It could only felt slower if you don't have 120HZ/VRR Enabled. So it doesn't sync your FPS/Refresh Rate with the Display.

The performance on consoles is way worse than it sounds. Even on performance mode it dips below 60 sometimes.

Only on XSS as far as i am aware (From Another User), and XSX. No Dips on PS5 at all, unless you enable RayTracing with Framerate (1880p to 4K), then it dips around 2-3 Frames at best. Framerate + No RayTracing, Stable 60 FPS at all times. No Dips.

Again, VRR saves the day, even if you use Fidelity + RayTracing. That 52-56 FPS Range on PS5 is not unplayable or horrible to look at. It looks smooth with VRR.
VRR can't save XSX on Fidelity and RayTracing however. Because it drops almost 20 FPS from 60.

Also Day 1 Patch could fix a lot of things, Both Steam and Consoles. Callisto did it, not day 1 however and had a terrible launch, now it's so much better. (Not that the game is superb or anything).

Just Sharing Information on the Demo Status, to let you know on what platform you want to buy, and that a low-end PC can handle MAX settings capped at 30 FPS without dips.

Hair Strands are bugged on Consoles at the moment. They don't properly reflect light, and i can't seem to notice any FPS differences.

Xbox Might get a Boost with a Patch, no reason to be +10 FPS lower on Fidelity Mode.
Also Rain is getting fixed in Day 1 patch too.

HDR is also in line with other REngine games. HDR was never meant to produce pure blacks but rather better atmosphere, many people complained on it at REmake2 thinking it was broken, however it was exactly the same as RE7 and REVillage.

Also Capcom uses Denuvo + Their own DRM + Steam for PC. So that could be a problem for some users getting higher Frames.

just went ahead and retested it, I don't have a VRR capable monitor but disabling motion blur made it way smoother, I'm still getting it for PC though just for the ultrawide aspect.
It should be the other way around. Motion Blur usually makes lower FPS scenes smoother.
We have come a long way since GTA3 "Motion Blur"

But if that fixes it for you, along with other options that give the game a grimey camera look, you can just disable them. Widescreen is great.

When i was talking about VRR, i was talking about a HDTV capable of outputting 120HZ/VRR. So yeah, if you don't have one, it might feel choppy on Framerate Mode, as it doesn't sync FPS to HZ.

I'm using the ps5 on the same monitor as my PC and not on a TV so no VRR for me :(
Yeah, i get you. But if you have G-Sync/FreeSync on that monitor, it should do a similar job to it. Mine is a 240HZ G-Sync monitor, despite the low-end Hardware. it actually makes a lot of sense to play old and new retro games with High FPS IMO.

Anyway, if your PC can handle +60 FPS on the game, i think it's a valid choice then.

My rig has an even older CPU (i5 4690K) and the GPU (1660 Super) is slightly newer than yours but i get 50FPS-60FPS on nearly any setting but i'm guessing it's because my monitor is older and is 1360 x 768. I had vsync on so not sure if it would go over 60FPS but i really don't care if it does. I'm happy with 60FPS and don't notice anything over 60FPS very much.
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with a Radeon Vega Mobile GPU here and it's giving me no more than 5 FPS, even in the menu, with every possible setting set to lowest. Y'all reckon I should be getting a little more? (I'm not super techy)

That's good. If you have less resolution, and the pixel density is decent. 60 FPS is good and more than enough. The way FPS works is, the less you have, the more you notice, the more you have, the less you notice. You would notice 70-80 FPS from 60 without a single problem with your eyes. It's SO much smoother. However you would notice a lot more if the game drops frames from 60 to 55-50 or less.
But for example when you hit 100-120 FPS, going above isn't that noticable.
I play games at 240FPS on my 240HZ G-Sync Monitor. But those are mostly Indie games, or Old Games Patched, or Doom WADs, or new Retro Shooters, etc.
So games that don't require that much power.

Plus the GPU is an upgrade here.
I also get 60 FPS at some scenes, but most drop to around 45.
Usually if i can't get a stable 60, i settle for 30 (At least in the old days) and just put everything to maximum. But i will be playing the game on PS5 as i pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition there.

You have a Laptop Build. That CPU is from the 2017, same with the the Integrated GPU.
What i am trying to say is, your CPU houses your GPU. There is no way you can play this.
Maybe some super light indie games and such? Yeah, probably. But not this. Even i am struggling with my PC, and this one can run pretty much any AAA game from 2017-2020.

Hell, even RE Village without a problem. But REmake4 is different.
