Anyone think movement is a little wonky?
Something about the movement (at least on m+kb) feels wonky. It is almost like there is too much momentum added to the movement or something. Using side step at all just feels bad.

Aim is maxed for camera and not quite as much for ADS, FOV is max (and still not enough), and camera wobble is off. Slightly better feeling, but Leon still has too much momentum when going from a sidestep to forward walking. If you press A or D and then let go and continue holding W, Leon will still walk in a diagonal path for too long before turning straight.

that's what i liked about it took me a bit back to tank controls
Yes, re2 and re3 have the same issue. Normally it'd be abit better since the original was wonky but the original is consistently wonky, in that it was purposely designed to take abit of control away without being frustrating to make you more vulnerable. This one I feel like I'm not in control at all and end up going all over the place.

Forwards movement definitely feels heavier than in regular RE4. Probably because of all the animations. It seems to be done to increase tension. I can't say yet whether I think it's bad or not, I just don't outright hate it or like it.... What I can say is shotgun feels like poo poo kaka and it's obvious that they want you to feel less powerful, and less agile in remake than they did in the original. I wouldn't be surprised if there are tighter corridors and more linearity to support the new movement system.

I didn't get the shotgun on my run, but the shooting didn't feel as impactful as the original did. Feels even less so than RE8.

Something feels off when turning the camera while not aming the gun as well. And whatever screenshake options they added doesn't help either. Sometimes you get the feeling Leon is drunk with the amount of sway in his steps lol

The inputs should've been instantaneous but they added animations in between... really clunky

Enemies fell like brick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ despite not taking many hits. Honestly, it feels like it's all the animations. It takes the quickness out of the responses; weapon impact on user and the enemy. I just beat demo third time, and It still feels good, just slower in some regards. Shotgun, again, just felt way more focused and weaker than the original; both in range and damage. No more blasting a row of dudes to the floor...at least at the demo point.
