In case anyone else is having this issue and needs instructions on how to do this: Right click the volume icon in bottom right on your desktop, then select Sounds, select the Playback tab, right click whatever playback device is set as your Default Device, select Properties, select the Advanced tab, and change the Default Format to 44100 Hz (CD Quality). Had no more issues after that, and once I changed it back to 48000 Hz the audio popping/lag didn't return. I also did this while the Demo was running in case that makes a difference.

I had no issues in the demo, but stutter did start on the release version. This did fix the issue, thank you!

Try disabling Spatial Sound on windows and using the 3.5 conector of your headsets if possible. Using the USB conector was, I think, the problem in my case.

I figured it out that was my Sata SSD. Having the game installed in my HDD solved the problem for good.
