Everything work fine on my end in 1080p at 60fps (sometime losing 5fps) at max settings.
Using a old Gtx 1080 with a i7 4790k (Gpu using 12.35gb where i have 7.13gb, well i played RE 2 and RE 3 remake the same way without problem too)

It runs smooth as silk, 120 fps drops to 90 or 80 during combat.

Smooth as hell the Radeon 7900XT handles this demo very well. It does not matter what setting I put the graphics on it handles it, including Ray Tracing. Might not be the best RT but it handles it.

I have the same Gpu, running on ultrawide 3440x1440 ryzen 5 7600 and I get immensely bottlenecked with low gpu usage. What are your settings and cpu?

98% utilization main menu
81% cap in game with fluctuations
65-70% main village fight

Performance is ♥♥♥♥
So I have a 7900xt GPU CPU I9-11900K.

on 1440p high without FSR it was laggy as hell. turned down texture quality and set FSR to balanced and the game ran smoothly on Linux. no crashes either like people are reporting, probably because i'm using DXVK

The demo is not optimised for PC RTX hardware and is slow. Still has console controls in the options which you cannot change. The keyboard or mouse controls are very difficult to use and not enjoyable and so removing the demo from my PC.

the game ran fine in my ancient pc

rx560 4g oc (low-profile)

FX-6300 4.0gbz (oc)

12 gb ram ddr3 1886mhz

medium settings, 1080p, FSR2 quality preset

rock solid 30 fps and no stutters
overall, the demo lacks. you cant tell how the game is going to play when they turn the village fight into an endless stream of spawning enemies with the same ammo as you are used to in the normal game. just feels like you do a little sneaking, kill 4 enemies and then just get to the village and become overwhelmed until you die or the time limit runs out and the bell rings (people claim the demo doesnt end until you defeat the chainsaw enemy, but both my demo playthroughs had the bell ring before i put a bullet in the chainsaw enemy). the only thing i can say is the knife durability blows, and seems useless when running out of knife still leaves you with Leon's epic spin kick. hopefully the full release removes the knife durability, lets you fire the pistol faster.

the firing speed bothered me too. Then I remembered we will be able to upgrade everything, so I guess they had to make this gun a bit lame so another one won't get too overpowered. But htat's just my guess.

got a lot of stutters on the final part of the demo but I solved it with these steps that I searched:

Here’s a quick list of fixes that you can try to get rid of stuttering and frame rate drops in the RE4 Remake Chainsaw demo:

Turn off Hair Strands – Leon’s luscious hair is actually the source of multiple reported FPS drops for the demo. According to one user on Reddit who has a RTX 4090, turning on Hair Strands dropped the game’s FPS from 200-240 to 120-140. So we recommend turning off the Hair Strands settings in the graphics menu.
Turn off Ray Tracing – This is a tough sacrifice since the lighting and reflections in the demo are impressive, but ray tracing is another culprit for stuttering.
Some users report that the demo’s performance may be random. Some runs of the demo had a lot of stuttering while others were smooth, so it seems like the frame rate is inconsistent.

I'm still getting a fps drop at a corner before reaching that abandoned vehicle with 2 enemies nearby. But, still better than before.

first of all props to every dev team and hopefully it is launched on time, second, i have some issues with the game but the most annoying one is frame drop for no reason when i enter the 1st house, it is so hard to shoot when the framerate drop so low, hopefully you guys fix this
