Should I buy this game on PS5 instead?

Your PC is more powerful than the PS5 and is well above the recommended specs for the game. You'll be fine.

PC wont have VR which is the only real way to play this game.

the only thing you need to upgrade on your pc is 16 gb more ram , 32 gb ram is been standart for years .simple your games gonna run smoother (most of the tomb raider games take up to 16 gb on 1080 xd i had 24 gb ram usage at 4k on shadow of the tomb raider , pc always , ps5 card is like rx 580/gtx 1060 .

With that specs pc,but have a copy in disk its also good :)

I figured my RTX 2080 is stronger over PS5 GPU, but my i5 8400 is weaker than PS5 CPU.
this game is not demanding, it works on a ps4, the engine is very flexible, your pc will have zero issues with this game

I'd rather get this game on PC just because I prefer to aim with a mouse

VR is pointless until haptic suits. I want that full body experience, you get me?

Good point, if PS4 can handle it so can my rig.

A demo is probably going to drop on the 9th so if anything you can always download the demo and try if you can run it.

I think you should get PS5 since the PC version was incorporated with Denuvo Anti-Tamper software, thus it demands higher CPU requirement. There's no telling whether the game will suffer stuttering issue at launch date for Steam version whereas the console version has better optimization, and can run the game at 60fps no problem at all, including HDR and will eventually support PSVR2. So, just think about it before you make your purchase decision.
