RE4make got very big boots to fill due to the quality and fame of the predecessor. Besides, the recent Dead Space Remake is a straight upgrade over the game it was inspired by in every way imaginable - from weapons to level design to backtracking. That's competition they'll need to top as well.

Will they be able to? I honestly doubt it. The mediocrity that was RE3make really shattered my faith in Capcom, combined with the fact they used the only relatively large and open segment of the game for a demo and advertisement.

And this trend of sterilizing the franchise's classic hits makes me averse to supporting these remakes. No matter where you personally stand on the matter, "hey what are you looking at" is the part of the original game's identity, and now we see it all being stripped for.. what, exactly?

you know that 3Make was made by Capcom's B team right? because the A team that made RE2R was working on Village, that A team is now working on this.

Ehhh, I'm a simple player. I don't care for A team, B team, why should I? Capcom got greedy and outsourced one of the best games of the franchise with the outcome being a mediocrity. That game got zero post-launch outside of a crappy online game with no balance and lots of hackers (at least on PC), which was likewise outsourced, got a few updates and then died.

Who's to blame but Capcom here? And who's to say Re4make won't be similarly lackluster?

That's just a sue-proof disclaimer as to distance themselves from being complacent in mods that might cause the social media freak show to try and cancel Capcom.

There's so many tiddy mods for RE games.. They don't care. Tits aren't offensive. Only people that get "offended" at tits in video games are either self-loathing male "feminists" that think these "views" somehow raises their social standing above men that do like tits or social media "influencers" looking to get popular and make money complaining over non-issues. Like saying scantily clad women characters in games causes violence against women. 2B didn't cause any women to get victimized just cause she had a hot ass and you could see up her skirt. It's equal to the absurdity that D&D turned kids into Satanists. We have those plenty now but not cause of D&D.

You're too deep in the sauce my guy. Wake up. Most everyone recognizes that Disney is churning out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ content, but the presence of female empowerment is not in itself a problem. The lack of quality is. Just look at Mulan, probably my favorite movie of all time, it has plenty of the same "female empowerment" messages that companies are both lauded and bemoaned for today, but it is done in a manner that is of both a high quality and of obvious cultural importance. The idea that expressing yourself is a strong quality (the "hard military men" had to cross dress to sneak into the emperor's palace, Mulan is a classic example of a woman showing classically "male" traits, etc.) or that women can put in as much/more effort than a man was displayed strongly in that film. I mean, unless you absolutely hate Mulan for displaying those ideas, then you're clearly misguided in these beliefs. If you do hate Mulan for displaying these ideas, then maybe you are a POS, but I have full faith that you're the former rather than the latter.

TL;DR hate games and movies that display feminism for poor quality, not for displaying feminism.

Also, I wouldn't be opposed to having one of Ashley's playable moments be a section where you have to save Leon from a trap in Salazar's estate, I think that would be quite cool actually, especially if you couldn't fight back
