Stealth kills could've been one of the dropped ideas in RE3.5 prototypes they didn't have time for and he used in The Evil Within, who knows.
As long stealth is mostly optional and not forced, it's only a good expansion of the combat options.
It's completely on Capcom whether they want to follow his advice or not.
It wouldn't surprise me if he's even a little emotionally invested in his farewell project's remake.
Asked and answered lol. That being said, awesome if true. Shinji Mikami seems a lot like Hideo Kojima in that they work best when reigned in a little. Let them go too far off the rails and you get something that initially looks awesome, but ends up being confusing. I really wanted to like The Evil Within, but it felt more like a bunch of unrelated set pieces than something with a real story. The sequel was enjoyable, but I wish he had spent that much time and effort with world-building for the first game.
Thank you, I thought it was RE4. Speaking of, there are some articles circulating online that a God Hand remake is in the works.
I'm not sure to trust the remake news.
I'm not sure if Mikami is similar to Kojima. Mikami is more of a team player type of director/producer while Kojima wants to be in full control.
TEW was trying to be a little like SH 1.(A game where you have no idea what is going on in your first playthrough)

Not to change the topic, but the "remake" news comes from Mikami's own facebook, in which he's collaborating on a "remake" (unannounced) in which he's tagged Tango, Capcom, and Platinum games. Sounds like a work in progress whatever it is.
