Ashley wears a politically incorrect skirt in Resident Evil 4, I trust CRAPCOM will fix this like they did in Resident Evil 3 with Jill.
Please put Ashley in a burka... Jill's pants were too tight....

Thanks you CRAPCOM.

It's not about being horny, it's about the way I remembered RE4 as a kid. Looking up Ashley's skirt. Luis praising her ballistics. Leon hitting on Hunnigan. Ashley hitting on Leon. That sorta thing.

A lot of that was toned down or cut outright from the VR which together with Ashley's new look with leggings and stuff gives a reasonable expectation it won't make it to the remake either. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but RE4 is not RE4 for me without those things. It's like clock tower complaints for RE3make - the tower was not essential for that game but many people have fond memories of it and were frustrated to see it missing.

Seeing as the journalists with hands on experience with the demo slice report the game so far is really true to the original, it would be super hard to explain those things missing by some reason other than caving in to the agenda. And, of course, a lot of people argue this remake was unnecessary to begin with, so cutting content that while not defining the game gave it soul will certainly not help its case.

I see your point, but i'll counter it with the simple fact that while in 2005 that was funny, cool, acceptable, like many things from 2005 aren't funny, cute, and are downright cringe 17 years later. And this isn't to be politically correct or anything, this is just a fact, if you walk around with jeans that say "Juicy" on the butt you'll be laughed out of the building despite it being a norm back then.

And to add to the point of cut content, while they have clearly cut some jokes, dialogue, or reworked it to fit today's standards and the generally more serious but still somewhat campy action tone, it's very obvious from the jump that they're adding a lot more content. Right away you see Leon go into a basement area very early on and the first plagas dude he meets is completely different from the original. And lets be real, going to some cold European village it doesn't make sense to wear JUST a short mini skirt.

So while we may think there's some agenda...despite the only people who ever bring it up is the ones who want to call it out these days. Just like Resident Evil 2 Remake, I have confidence they'll not only improve but excel about the original Resident Evil 4. If you have a desire to play that game eye rolling jokes intact it's still there, the HD Project came out earlier this year that brings all the textures to modern standard.

Most games these days are censored or toned down to hell and the vr port of re4 has scenes censored however...

I think ashleys new outfit looks cute.

The fact men who think they are alpha... defending censorship of male sexuality is next level beta.

I've lost 150 lbs, I went from fat to a six pack, I'm 6ft tall, and your mom says I'm over six digits in a few other ways.

no, capcom themselves admitted they censored their game.

resident evil 2 remake even had censored version of jills mini-skirt that magically transformed in to shorts, they went as far as to break immerison and graphical quality to defend a virtual characters modesty, when quite literally most women who look like a dumpster fire walk around in skin tight cloths, it's 100% a joke.

just like mortal kombat removed the serialized armors from female characters, but the men are walking around shirtless and fit.

Notice leon is still a pretty boy? lets tone down his sexuality then?

and how about the blood and gore, that's far more problematic than sexuality that exists in real everyday life.

you've got one group of soy boys defending this BS at their own detriment, then you have fake alphas throwing insults being indifferent, the definition of beta.

so lets stop throwing sand at each other and focus on the what the devs admitted to, and what we can observer with our own eyes.

No one wants a "adult" game, but with so many brave women selling their photos online these days, and all the women outside in yoga pants, it's daft to pretend it's "problematic" to have sexually appealing cloths or characters in a game, and especially when they're only censoring the aspects males would appreciate.

its literally telling men and young boys it's wrong to be sexual, when it's 100% used against us when useful, and then used to shame us when it benefits.

stop being passive, hit the GYM, build muscle be proud of your biology and your drive for love and sex, what you want matters, and it's up to you to fight for it, both within society and outside of it, but never let them condemn and shame you for natural biology.

Yes all of that is laced in "censoring" the game, and attempting to use bogus lines like "not acceptable for a modern audience.

Literally my thoughts. It's cringe to "sexualize" a woman in a videogame, and yet it's not cringe for women to post suggestive content on social media and make money off it on fans sites. Reeks double standards.

Besides, not the whole world has embraced those novel trends, in some countries it's still 2005 and thankfully we don't have to think a certain way else cancel culture. And while 17 years is quite an age for a game, people who remember how things used to be are still around, and we are SUDDENLY told we should believe differently. That's how I see it.

Ah yes, because Ashley chose to go on vacation to Los Illuminados Spa and Resort out of her free will.

You know, even if your counter arguments were more substantial than they are, they wouldn't really change how I remember the game or what I deem important about it. So I'll ultimately see if the game released with or without it, and vote with my wallet.

100%.

As for countries that don't embrace the bad behavior women are trending in the west, that's why I've only had relationships with women outside the west.

hit the gym 6 times a week and go where men aren't demonized for being men.

Of you can stay in circle jerk western places where the best masculinity a man can muster is calling other men beta and incl on the internet.

Which is exactly why I added the point that you can still play the original games as you remember, if not a better state with the HD Project in case the game releases in a state that isn't to you preference.

You're comparing a video game character from 17 years ago, to a modern ACTUAL ADULT woman today choosing to make an only fans as a source of income. That's false equivalence. One is literally a video game character from years ago, another is a whole complex human being.

Not to mention the devs themselves decided to make this change, which they are completely within their right to do out of respect for the artist of course as it's their IP.

You're only mocking yourself in this, NO ONE brought up the idea of Alpha or Beta or any of that, YOU brought it up as a talking point and are suddenly saying men think they're Alpha for defending this or that.

Literally no one brought up anything relating to Alpha, Beta, or Agendas or any of that crap. I think that's the irony of arguing with people like you two, you bring topics into the conversation that no one was mentioning then act as if someone else is even arguing that when it's never even been mentioned beforehand.

Literally no one asked you about your dating preferences, or what you think of western women, or whatever biases you have. Based on your long rant about Leon being a pretty boy (when in reality he's always been conventionally attractive) and all this crap about owning your sexuality, it's clear you have some deep seeded insecurities about your masculinity ESPECIALLY when you have to go online to try to prove it to a bunch of stranger.

its clear someone was triggered.

it's clear people were throwing around "incel speak" and that it was mostly men with their own insecurities projecting because they don't like people opposing censorship.

The bit about Leon is redundant, you're a bright person, I suspect you know I'm pointing out the paradoxical hypocrisy that he remains sexually attractive 100% but the females in the game have had their garments changed as to hide their bodies, as if somehow skin is evil, when did video game developers become more proodish than church?

Though I have my own because I'm human, I was talking about the subjects, directly related who what many men in the west go through and might not completely understand as to why, and because of the exact opposite of what you'd like to believe, I shared these personal details about myself, regardless if anyone asked or liked that I did.

because not enough men know that options exist, and that submitting to a society that doesn't like them isn't the only way, and in fact is odd compared to most the world.

So yes, censorship of women in a video game that's mainly focused at men is a problem.

the personal details and global information about masculinity is a effort from me to any of the young men listening who might not be happy with the culture where they live or how it weaponizes something natural to push them down.

So *shrug* I don't really care if you didn't ask, don't like it or think it's a "opinion* when its a objective fact, the west has a problem with masculinity and attempts to step all over men.

Fact is, men don't have to accept it, and the sooner they know they have options the faster they can decide how they want to improve their lives and potentially go international or not.

Regardless, it's a non-issue for you, and no longer for me, this was aimed at the minds of someone struggling out there, whos shoes I've walked a mile in a life time ago.

because censorship is just one evil slice of a chaos pie in a broken society.

But yes, not one asked, nor do I much care if they did.

feel free to mock me, but Im at peace with what I've learned and who I am, so fair enough
Can't forget CAPCOM applied censorship for Jill Valentine where she now wears skorts/shorts instead of skirt in RE3 Remake.
Dan Oct 21, 2022 @ 10:13pm
At least Ashley isn't as ugly as Jill was in the RE3 remake.

I'm sure you won't be able to look up her skirt, zoomers are perpetually offended and have no sense of humor unless its Undertale memes or something.

"Alpha", "Beta", "Triggered"

Look at you, you're a walking red flag my guy, no one's triggered, you're just cringe.

Someone who's a peace with who they are doesn't need to go online in video game forums to spew their backwards ideologies that are based on anecdotal evidence. I explained to you that Leon has always been an attractive male, heck there's no a single ugly RE Lead, so using that as a jumping off point for whatever you're trying to prove is weak.

Jill got shorts and a tank top instead of a skirt and a tube top, it's not THAT different. I can use the same logic in reverse. RE5 had Chris in a skin tight ♥♥♥♥ most of the game, now in RE8 he's wearing a trench coat and tactical gear.

Once again, you deciding you want to sleep with (or attempt to sleep with) Non Western Women is something no one here needs to know, or ask about, and i'm 99% sure a lot of men know they have options.

Why are you even telling people in a video game forum your dating preferences or even trying to explain this stuff to them, legitimately no one asked.

Zoomers aren't perpetually offended, you are just getting older and out of touch , just like the generation before you who probably looked at you and said your generation was the exact same thing.

Not to mention most zoomers don't even care about Undertale that much. You would've been more on the dot if you mentioned Fortnite, Minecraft, Pokemon, whatever else, but undertale? Really?
