What's the best control scheme?

4 hours into this game, and I have to say I find using WASD quite tough. I used WASD in my first play, then switched to using the directional arrows instead, which I found much easier. Switched back to WASD again as I thought that was probably the intended controls to use; I've got to the boss of the first level but it still seems unnatural to me. I dare not even attempt the Challenge.

I'm not using bombs in the first level as I want to get the Hold.Your.Fire achievement. I can see the logic of using WASD with the Shift key's position; it just seems too much to do with one hand.

When using WASD, I hit the Space Bar with my RH. Hit it with my LH when using arrows. This is all on Normal difficulty btw, so for other levels/Hard mode playthrough it woul help to know which scheme works better.

For skill reference, I beat Bit.Trip Beat in 15 hours.

While I was first porting CORE, I used the arrow keys until I was told to re-map to WASD. I had a hard time using WASD from that point forward. So, there's one statistic for arrow keys. :)

xbox controller is best

you'll need to bind it to the control stick though
