Game won't be coming out, so it's no loss to them.

It's nothing to do with Wildcard. It's German law. Germany no longer allow games to be accessible to German users if there is no age rating. Although Wildcard could resolve it by adding an age rating, but it would make no difference really until there is news about the game.
