Never speak about "90/95%" of people you don't know. Hold your breath until you see an actual gameplay. people complained with FPP in Cyberpunk for years before it was released, because Witcher games were TPP, yet it worked perfectly for what the game was made for.

i have a group of around 10 of us who have over 3k hours in ark, every one prefers first person.

every youtuber i watched playing ark, always first person except for when showing something off. etc etc etc. the list goes on.

It worked because FPP is superior, not just because it worked better with the game.

honestly? i have always wished for a third person view in this game. i can't count the times something has snuck up on me cause i had no perf view.

i mean, i guess they will improve the third person camera in Ark 2. in Ark 1 all it is good for is looking at your work of art after creating your character

you know ark HAS third person right?

yeah but its not very playable in that mode. only really useful when riding on bigger dinos.

when you think about it, if they are changing the way dinos work--where you can hide from them and all that, you kinda need 3rd person to effectively hide. much better for situational awareness.

I switch between both so no problem for me, but i prefer 3rd person cause you have better view from your surroundings.
