2023 FIX THAT ACTUALLY WORKS

Hello, I am a avid 3D vision user and found the fix for this game. The developers made a mistake by adding a user fix that was not verified to actually work and this is why we are here right now. Please open the Settings.Lua file and REMOVE the -- marks from these specific lines.

BAD ONE AS EXAMPLE:
--NetFileURL = "http://www.biart7.com/steamok.txt";
--NetFileSkipIfNoConnection = 1;

Now to how its supposed to look...

*Now it SHOULD look like this!!!* (the one below this text)*

NetFileURL = "http://www.biart7.com/steamok.txt";
NetFileSkipIfNoConnection = 1;

(add two spaces to make it even out)
^ correct one ^

Now add an OUTBOUND rule in your firewall to block the app. from connecting Private, domain, and public.

Now play all day without getting a corruption error!

WHY?

This is because the game has the stupidest integrity checker built into the software. It is not a anti cheat nor a DRM but a very strange use of their website to verify the integrity of the files you are playing. Because a developer of this game released an update a couple or so years back the edited LUA file is now not the correct hash and the game spits it out saying its corrupted. Since the website doesnt exist it cant check your files, its nonsense. But I hope you enjoy, and honestly as a 3D vision game it kicks butt!

Sadly, it did not help. I just started getting black screen and "Initialization failed" error instead.

try playing completely disconnected from the internet if all else fails

Hello! I have updated the instructions as I felt it may be unclear of which one is supposed to be the fixed text to put in the lua file. Did you make sure the -- were deleted

I did. Turns out my firewall was disabled a few years ago, no wonder the outbound rule didn't work.

I bought this at a key shop wanting to try it out. Of course I could have torrented it, but decided Id rather have it on one of my gaming accounts.
Tried everything and was close to giving up, but then found your post.

Disconnecting from the internet plus the original stuff worked for me. Blocking Biart7.com wasn't enough and I'm running linux so trying to block the .exe directly is a little more complicated then I want to deal with.

Ok. While the fixes on the wiki did not work for me, they did for one of my friends.

I was able to get the game running by downloading the old manifest from 2014, copying it into the install directory, then running the game with steam in offline mode in addition to enabling the firewall rule (NOT the lua script modification).

If you use the old manifest you cannot change the lua script.
