Directions instead of WASD during quicktime events
OK, let me start off by saying that I love the game. I just finished it and have already started my second game. In particular, I love that you had the guts to make it short and sweet, then release it at budget-priced instead of inserting slow (and cheap) parts to make it into a "full retail game". I really hope you can convince your publisher to let you do it again, and maybe even let other studios produce such bite-sized games.

But enough about the way that the game was published. There's one small issue for me: During quicktime events, you're told to press W, A, S or D. Maybe it's just how my mind works, but for me that was pretty irritating and forced me to re-play these parts a couple of times, because while I can type without looking, I can't remember which letter corresponds to which direction in the heat of the battle.

So please, could you add an opition to show the direction instead? Left, Right, Up Down? Maybe arrows?

This has been brought up in the "Ask the developer" thread, don't know if they will patch it,...but they said it was a good idea

Ah, thanks and sorry about that. I had a quick look and thought from the FAQ that it was only for pre-release questions-

lol Yeah i'm glad another thread was brought up about it meaning there's obviously more people with the same issue.
I brought it up in the Dev thread and was very pleased to see a response.

I had the same issue with the game Ninja Blade, have to replay so many QTE's simply because of the stupid key prompt. lol

Is that a shorthand for "Relax, an option will be provided with the next update?" ;)

In the meantime, if you want, you could learn how to use a very simple-to-use (but extensive) program called AutoHotkey to bind up, down, left and right to w, s, a and d so the game tells you "Up", "Down", "Left" or "Right" instead of those letters. I found it confusing too, so I did just that! ;)

Hey, that's a very good idea. Thanks... It never even occurred to me to use ahk for that. Truth be told, I'm probably not going to do it... I've played through the game twice by now and have now gone from easy (which I played the first two times) straight to "True West" and yeah... I've gotten used to it enough to get it right most of the time, but I wish I would have thought of ahk when I encountered the issue the first time.
This would be nice. I never kept track of which key I push to go in a direction. It's not essential, but it'd be awfuly convenient.

Sorry for making you wait so long. Anyway, the arrow helpers are there in the 1.02 update.
