How to remove the comic border and black letter boxes from the game.

So I started playing the game and like most immediatly upon seeing the black comic box I was turned off, so I wanted to remove it. I did so with success, only to then be greeted by two additional black letter boxes that I had to remove as well. Here is how I did it for those whom are curious.

1) Open notepad.
2) Click open in notepad and copy and paste this, %LOCALAPPDATA%\techland\cojgunslinger\out\Settings, to get to the folder location. Change the filter to All Files, and then open the file labed Video.
3) Go to the very end, or bottom of the document, and copy and paste this.
DisableScreenBorder()
RenderViewportProportion(x, y)
4) Change the (x, y) to your screen resolution.
5) The finished product should look like this if you are using a 1600x900 screen.
DisableScreenBorder()
RenderViewportProportion(1600, 900)
6) Click save.

Cheers bud just tried this on the demo and have now bought it. I had to drag the "video" file to the notepad though, add the settings at the bottom and then save it. (It wouldn't allow me to directly open the video). It worked anyway!

Go to properties on the settings folder and uncheck read only before saving. You have to do that everytime you make changes to the video.scr file. If that is the issue you are having.

I was just playing this the other day (hence, this forum showing up in my feed) and was just thinking about how I hate CEL shading and the borders they use to hide edges etc.

Thanks for this, I didn't care as much about this game because it is more tasteful about it (e.g. compared to the Borderlands games), but I'm definitely going to try it. I also don't like the reduced colour palette of CEL shading, but this game looks good.
