No, I only played Gunslinger. I heard going back to the earlier games was a bad idea if you started with Gunslinger lol
However, if you're a story guy, some of those earlier games have good stories. (And maybe a few spoilers).
Please make it happen ^_^
BUTTTTT with such a good gameplay as this one has.
Gameplay with is the strongest in this one and story was told in a unique and funny way.
Bound in blood is way better imo then gunslinger. Gunslinger plays like a western cod game where as bound in blood is slowish and methodical. It has a nice shoot from cover mechanic too. i would advise getting the realism mod for it though.
It played more like a decent shooter with DmC mechanics.
(Quick tip just for fun if you turn down your graphics you will have way faster loading put the game on an SSD and your loading will be just a matter of seconds)
I ended up going back and playing through the first and second games and they were still pretty fun! Not quite Gunslinger level of fun but decent enough none the less, though I could have done without those stealth missions in the first game
I'm not touching that 4th one though... Luckily it's not even available on Steam.
