Game Wont Launch

Using windows 11, and I have a good enough pc to play this game. But it doesn't launch.

It is an old game. Anyone having problems with it launching, you first need to change your Windows Audio to 16bit/44Khz. It refuses to launch if set to 24 or 32 bit audio.

I'm on Linux with proton, and the game wouldn't launch for me either till I used the launch command "taskset -c 0-4 %command%" now the game launches perfectly fine.

That is limiting the game to 4-cpu-cores

Plus old games you might need to go to the game EXE Properties and disable full screen optimization

Make sure you do not have any game clients in OS Startup. Launch then via shortcut and use the Run As Admin option

oh god. closed the game and now it won't relaunch again. this is getting super annoying.

Double check that it actually closed out. Sometimes the game EXE might linger and take a while to actually close out. You can check via Task Manager > Details

I'm on Ubuntu Linux using Proton, I haven't had to do anything and it runs. Ran on my old machine too on Ubuntu Linux. Check to see if the game logs any errors.
