Any references to previous games? (possible spoilers obviously)
I am currently playing through the entire series and I loved the McCall story in the first two games.
(As of now, I am suffering through The Cartel before moving to Gunslinger)

I know people said it has no ties to the previous games whatsoever, but are there at least any easter eggs or references? Like someone namedropping Ray's or Juan's name etc.?

I only managed to find one piece of info on IMFDB, that some villains in the game were apparently in employ of Juan Mendoza in the past? But thats literally it, the internet is otherwise very thin on any kind of information in general.

Don't care about spoilers, so just fire away. :D

Most of Gunsligner's stories happen years after previous games.

In the beginning of the episode 3, the cutscene shows Henry Plummer's office. It's one of the earliest Silas's stories chronologically. As Plummer shakes a bandit's hand, there are wanted posters of McCall brothers on the wall. This could have been roughly parallelly to Bound in Blood story. So they must have been wanted outlaws in mining circles by then :)

In the beginning of the episode 7, young Silas is with his brothers in Juarez in Mexico, in 1868. It's just a few years after Bound in Blood. Silas wins money from some cowboys - the old Spanish coin has carvings similar to the Medallion. It obviously is not the Medallion itself, but maybe it comes from the Aztec treasue? :)

Very interesting details, thanks!

Now I cannot wait to play the game and see for myself. :)

The Cartel can't end soon enough, eh.

Yup, found 'em. Very happy about it too, that the McCalls are still part of this series in a way. Although Silas is growing on me as well. :D
