Game slowed down

I noticed a day or two ago (so a while after the recent update, not right away) that my game starting moving at about half speed. I have tried several things to fix this.

I have checked the game integrity. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have tried setting the game the lowest possible settings (I have a beast of a machine though, 12 gigs of ram and all).

Nothing seems to be working. Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

When i play with people online sometimes it starts to slow down/lower fps for some reason but i think its based on what every other player is doing. But if its even when your playing solo then it could be your processor/motherboard/graphics card thats the problem. Ima give you the degenerate answer that everyone gives and try and check if you have any updates on your motherboard or video card.

I know you think its stupid because you have a good computer but trust me i have a AMD FX-4100 processor and that causes me a lot of FPS issues on certain value games(portal 2,CS:GO)

The reason I don't think it is my computer is that I was playing for several weeks before this without this issue surfacing at all. Also, I'm running two 6950's in crossfire with an intel core i7 920 OC'ed to 3.33 GHZ :P

I'm really at a loss as to what it might be. I will try some more stuff another day and post if I find the answer, but if anybody has any bright ideas then i'd love to hear them.

I had been playing the game at my screen's native resolution of 1920x1200, however this issue persists even when I run it in windowed mode at a resolution of 640x480, with gore off, vertical sync off, and texture quality at the lowest setting.

I have the same problem, i turned every effect off and turned the resolution to 640x480 and it still have a low fps rate, im not able to play, i need some help, it started after i left an online match

Hmmm, ya, I think it might have started happening to me after I left the game alt-tabbed for an hour or so.

Foldmat, have you also tried uninstalling, and then reinstalling?

When I play with my buddy I get normal frames (60 apparently) but he game runs wicked slow. Him and I can feel a huge input lag as well. When I played solo or joined a quick match the problem was gone. Very weird.
