Where are savegames stored?

I want to back-up my savegame file incase something happens--as I've heard of some glitches where people's characters are reset to 1. I don't know if these exist on the PC version, but I want to be sure. Does anyone know where the save files are stored?

Because I don't know where that path came from, but that's definitely no right. Game only uses steams userdata folder for saving files, which is <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\204360\ and if you haven't changed steams path it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\.

So funny story, I have a pirated copy of the game from way back. Since I liked it so much no dip I bought it along with most of the other games I played as a kid once I got a job but now I want to transfer over my save data to my legal copy and this guy's post actually helped me. I've finally found the save data for my game though sadly when I try to copy it over to my steam version it doesn't work and I just find all my characters at level 1.

Remember daily or weekly backup them. In your \steam\userdata\ (number id)\204360 (copy all .then save a safe file
