Solution to the Black Screen Problem!

Since The Bohemoth's own advice doesn't work (there's actually no settings.ini file), the only way I found is to just try to change the settings blind. The steps you need to take are:
*note that I use Xbox controls, you'll have to find the keyboard equivalents if use a different input*
*Space out your button presses by a second each*
1. Load the game,
2. Hit A until a magical sound plays and hit B
3. Press down 5 times and hit A
4. Press down 1 time and hit A twice
5. Hit right a random amount of times (changes the resolution)
6. Press up once, A to confirm, and pray it works.

The settings.ini trick is pretty old, this way ^ is much easier. Hope it helps!

Behemoth's link doesn't help me at all. CC runs fine on my i5 desktop with ATI HD6950 but on my i7 Vaio laptop with GeForce GT735M (why it also lists Intel HD4000 i dont know) all i get is the black screen and that's all...freezes up the whole laptop where i have to hold down the power button so i could reboot.
