Playing with two PS3 Controllers

HAHAAHAHAAA I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM UNTIL I SPENT 3 DAYS on hardcore mission work to fix it, however... I'll give you my fix right now. I hope you can accept this with gratitude cause I had to test out things myself and do things when I knew nothing about programming. I'm going to give you a breif way to do this:


Step 1.) Confirm you have motion in joy, does it work? Splendid. P.S I'm not going to answer to any questions asking why it doesn't work, there are billions of tutorials out there for this thing, seriously.

Step 2.) Download these files to well anywhere just make sure you know where to find them.

Step 3.) Drag them into your directory for Castle Crashers. If you don't know where that is, it should be through your computer C: thingy. Which you can find by click windows and then computer. Then the folder Steam should be found in either Program Files Or Program Files (x86). Then inside that folder you should find a folder named steamapps. Inside that folder you will find one named common. Go inside that folder and you should see one named Castle Crashers. open that folder and your in. So all you have to do now is go get those files and just plop em in that folder.

Step 3.5) Open The xbox360.ini file and you know how when its up it says [Pad 2] ! That means that the first pad registered is going to be recognized as Pad 1 but it will be a pad making sure the keyboard comes first. Than scroll down and you'll find [Pad 1] replace that with [Pad 4] Now go down to the bottom where it says pad 4 replace that with [Pad 1] AND BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Oh also you know under where it says pad 2? I want you to copy all that and replace all the data on the other pads with that. Just trust me. :P I would like to make a download especially for your case but on the other hand I don't want to create a download link, however if it doesnt work after this I will personally make a download link.

Step 4.) Almost done. (You guys be lucky, I found a way to perfectly execute controls) Anyway go into Motioninjoy. You know the where you can make your own custom control set? It'll be in the profile page. Press create. While you're in there You see at the right side where it has different tabs and stuff. Stay in the Config tab. In the green type in Castle Crashers (It's so you can remember what set that is) and then press + New button (make sure button things are default). When you're in the editing of it ( Make sure you're editing it the thing you're editing will be in darkblue) go to the triangle button and make the button to 4. Make the Circle Button 3. Make Cross Button 2. Make Square Button 1. Now go down to L3 and make that button 11. Make R3 Button 12. Make Start Button 10.

5.) Save changes now in your custom thing (the scroll arrow thing) pick the Castle Crashers one you made. Press enable!

6.) Load castle crashers... press Local Game (with your mouse or keyboard),Then press gamemode you want (with mouse our keyboard). Then on your PS3 Controller press x and it should load as 2nd player.

well if that big long list of things dosent work heres my solution:ok so first of all the game never appered on playstation(hens disableing the ps3 controler)BUT if you really dont want to buy a new controler ill tell you the keyboard controls

Yes Hello I'm sorry but he's actually looking to play local co op he's not dumb and looking how to play on keyboard controls. I'm sorry but I'm glad you offered to help but read his question. Also I'm so sorry but it doesn't disable the ps3 controller, trust me, it works for me.

Hi LittleBigNerd. I have a question. Can I use 4 controllers with this procedure? I dont have ps3 controllers but my friend will come by and play co op with them :D

Um well if you have four im guessing xbox controllers than yeah your fien bro, but you dont need motion in joy or to do anything i done here. I'm saying you only need to use controllers and don't have to set up anything? Cause if you have 4 your fine. But if you have 3 controllers or something like that and one keyboard I make it possible for you to use your keyboard and controllers. Please xplain a little more and what controller are you using?! (Is it agame pad) (and what do you mean you have 4 cause if you have 4 controllers I don't see anything wrong but if they vary, you probably gonna want xbox360ce for gamepad. You don't have to edit anytrhing. ANd some are ps3 controller you're gonna have to be a careful bearful when editing the file. basically if you have 4 gamepads or 4 xbox controllers or something of the sort. I just don't recomend you do anything and play with for, please explain more)

I am using Ps3 controllers, Now i changed something from the x360.ini and did what is in the your method. But i cant save the changes, When the computer says "replace existing file x360.ini"then i click okay/ye, it says acces denied

OH LOLOLOLOLLO OLOLOLOLOL YEAH I GET WHAT YOU MEAN. I really hope you're talking about the video cause the video does athorough explanation on everything (Like copy paste all of the info from the original pad 1 thing to all the other pads, cause there are glitches and also replace pad 1 with pad 2 pad 2 with pad 3 and so on) [Basically watch the video]. And I also have the same problem so what i'm going to want you to do is copy the ini to ur desktop then edit it then save, then I want you to go and replace the ini in your castle crasher directoryy with the one you edited on the desktop. It doesn't give me permission either like accesss denied even tho im an admin ._. but thats whatever. Hope this helped.
