Magic is bad?
So, is there any way to make using magic easier on a keyboard? Cause holding down one button just to use a spell is really annoying, especially when playing the green knight, which is recommended to go magic, I think?

I feel lost as no matter what I try, the enemies combo me before I can even hit them most of the time, so how the hell does this even work? D;

See, that's where you've lost me now, as everyone else is saying the opposite. x-x Maybe this game is just really awkward.

I dunno my brother and I only beat insane mode 14 times using our techniques which he explains in his 25 guides, all on the guides page for everyone to see.

just google Aichomancer steam guides and it'll show you all of his guides

British Panda I honestly believe you have no idea what you're talking about. The troll mother is a good experience grind therefore upgrade strength first? That makes no sense. All I need is max agility and magic with defense half full and I can solo any level on insane mode using 90% or more all melee tactics like for example juggling is my favorite

See, Juggling is nice and all, but not when you only have a keyboard to use. It's hard enough trying to get them in the air, let alone hold them up there for more than a second.

Lol Lucy I don't think you completely read or understood what I wrote. I know the troll boss is a good exp grind I never stated it wasn't. And the what we were discussing is not how to exp grind it all day but instead how to beat it much easier. I know not upgrading strength, everyone knows by not upgrading strength and instead placing points in other stat bars so you could exp grind it longer. But, like I said we weren't talking on how to exp grind it f0r d@yz we were talking on how to beat it much easier to pass on to the next stage.

Also one bar of health is enough for me to go from forest entrance all the way to catfish on insane mode, and the same goes for anyone else. If you actually have the dodging and crowd control that agility and magic provide, then defense and potions are useless.

on a side note, Red Knight sucks ass against any enemy that has more health than what he can take with a full mana bar, so basically everything beyond the Catfish level on insane mode. When his mama bar is empty he's extremely vulnerable and has to rely on hit and run tactics in the meantime, but after using his magic the enemies are all clumped in the same place which makes going in for a juggle or combo lock risky, even though those would be the only ideal forms of attack.

I beat insane mode with Red Knight; if I hadn't then I obviously wouldn't be calling him bad. (all 31 characters are practically the same on insane mode). For example, most of the damage bosses receive from Fencer and Industrialist on normal mode is just overkill, and Red Knight looks OP because no enemy has more than 400 HP (stovefaces).

also, red knight's magic vs. bosses is just a gimmick because it's the same speed as ninja's but it does 60% as much damage, and after I did damage calculations with a calculator based on when every character is level 99 with black morning star + beholder, Red Knight is exactly 50% as effective for boss killing than even characters with normal splash magic. On a side note, those calculations were assuming that red knight hits more per second than he actually does. He also, unlike every other character in the game (except technically king), doesn't receive any XP when attacking a boss.

You probably have already gotten your answer, but I used to play using a keyboard (now I use an Xbox controller) and I don't remember having any trouble with it. I played as Green Knight, just like you, and I mainly used magic. I beat the game using the keyboard, so I don't quite understand the issue. If you haven't fixed it already, just continue using this setup and get used to it.

If it's been bothering you for a while (you are not new to the game) and you can't handle it, I don't know how to help you, I'm horrible with configuring controls for any games other than side-scrolling platformers. Sorry!
