Though it feels at this rate that's when the announcement will be for the actual release date.

I feel the same way , probably 2025 release , hopefully it will puck a punch & they'll have a few hidden suprises with it

I don't think there will be surprises or "pack" that much of a punch. I just want the custom characters and the QOL now. However, I wouldn't exactly call it mediocre either. However the wait time doesn't help.

If they play their cards right , they will release it 2025 with A castle Crashers 2 release date for 2025/2026. Will create major hype around castle crashers

they're not making cc2, and even if they did, it will be worse than original, alien hominid invasion can attest to that.

I bet they can learn from their alien hominid mistakes and make cc2 the best thing ever. They love CC , wouldnt dare to make it any less than perfect , im sure of it

You are sure of nothing, and you also know nothing of what the behemoth was and is now. They will never be able to recreate what castle crashers is, not just because pretty much nobody that worked on it then is around now, but also because like alien hominid invasion, they don't want to make a direct sequel, but rather attempt to build on the original concept only to do it worse in literally every aspect. Also you don't know they even want to make another cc, maybe they don't, and if that's the case, stop begging for it.

Before Alien Hominid Invasion released I was incredibly hyped, only to be majorly disappointed by a mediocre sequel that failed to capture what made the original so great, and after I wrote a very long passionate review on my grievances, almost nobody was willing to take it seriously, I doubt many people even read it fully, all because they fail to understand that you can criticize things you're passionate about, I'm not a hater, I'm not just being a pessimistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for no reason. I am very passionate about this game, and I used to be very passionate about the behemoth and Dan, I was probably a fan longer than most behemoth fans today have even been alive, but after disappointment after disappointment, it's just hard to keep that passion going. I also can't help feel bitter when behemoth can just continue to put out mediocre slop and people will just eat it up like it's the best thing they've ever seen, and will see anyone against it has haters. I also can't help but feel the upcoming dlc is a mockery to modders, a spit in their face, they banned me permanently from the behemoth discord server because I fought for modders, and all I got from dan was "no mods because I said so" and a perma ban with no warnings, all this with the fact that all their games have encrypted files to stop modders from easily accessing them, and yet despite all that, they make this dlc, convincing their playerbase they want to see their quirky creations, when they would ban us for doing it before. if they actually cared, they would not waste their time on this dlc, instead they would make an effort to add modding support, to embrace the one part of the community that actually gives a ♥♥♥♥. also "you have no joy in your life" is an understatement, who knew the mentally ill depressed person would not be so joyful or optimistic, consider not everyone is living a life good enough to just be happy about everything all the time.
