How to undo "insane mode"

So, me and my 2 kids just finished playing through castle crashers on regular mode. We were walking around the map after playing through everything and found the opened "pit" with a shop and a level indicating "insane mode". Curiosity made us have a look....
We now know that it resets the game without resetting the characters and enables you to replay the game on a super insane difficulty that my kids have no desire to play.

So the million dollar question.... how can I undo the "insane mode" without undoing everything we have achieved after hours and hours and hours of play....

Get in the same pit and activate normal mode

This, or quit out of exit to the Main Menu and reselect your characters and you'll automatically be back in normal mode.

Just checked the game after your replies and the insane mode has automatically reset. Thanks for pointing this out. I would probably have uninstalled without looking... :) To many games to waste time. Thanks !
