Lava world difficulty curve discussion
Apon completing the game as the blacksmith, i try to complete the game as all the other characters, and the single level i dread the most is the lava world (well i also hate the sand castle roof, but thats a different story...)
But for a while i havent been able to pinpoint what i hate about this level, UNTIL NAOW!

1) the level is way too damn long
well, compared to the other levels in castle crashers, this one seems the longest, so long is feels like a damn grind, its not even fun, just a chore.
personally i would either cut out 1 wave of enemies and the dumb living volcano crap, or i would add 3 more waves of enemies and split it up into 2 levels
and the length of this level leads me to another problem...

2) health potions
man i wish there was a pet that carried 1 extra health potion for you, but anyway, a recurring problem i had was until my character reaches around level 22, i never really had enough health potions to get thru the level easily, i barely got thru the level by the skin of my arse (although now im level 75 and can easily do this level with 1/2 potions)

3) the sock puppet douche
Yeah, i still find this guy hard as i still havent mastered air juggling as a beefy dude, if you could damage his hand or something, i think it would be a bit better
and i know you can damage him by shift a, but unless youve spent all your xp points on magic, your going to be sitting there shooting him for a while

overall, the difficulty curve is not a 90 degree angle, probably a 70 degree, and i just hate it how i have to beat the industrial castle 4 times to level up enough to even com close to beating this level when i start a new character :bbtraccoon::ccknight:

Not difficult just time consuming.

I assume your talking about a playthrough on norrmal diffucutly.

The fact that at level 75 you still require potions on lava world means you really haven't figured out the effective ways to play the game yet, considering you can kill the enemies in around 4 hits at that point. There are a few guides available with a ton on knowledge that would be useful to you, I suggest you check them out. You may find a solution to your health potion issue as well "Hint"

Lava world is actually not that difficult, and boss is just fine the way it is, you just need to learn about the game a little more.

The difficulty curve really doesn't make any drastic increases until the last 25% of the game on normal mode. On insane, it starts in the first 25% in the game.

Insane mode is as difficult as 32-bit integer numerical algorithms.

insane mode i use 2 -3 potions, normal mode i use none

however, enen tho ive completed the game, i usually find it fun to play thru most of the levels, the two i dont look forward to are this one and the sandcastle roof, i just feel that this level (when i first played) is a grind and unless you have a lot of defense, can be quite difficult

When I start a new character, I always Upgrade magic, then defense. Upgrade defense, and Lava world becomes a breeze... as long as you know what your doing. :3 (For normal mode, not insane mode.)
