Black screen

[Say10 is my Waifu]

i can play the game, when i start the game i can see the controller img for a second then the screen become black.
I tried to change resolution, uninstall, and check the integrity of the files.
someone can help me

I'm having this issue on one system as well, and yes, there is audio with the black screen. One file failed to validate but it's still like that.

Try booting the game in windowed mode through the Steam Launch Options.

1. In the Steam client, navigate to the Games tab
2. Right click on "Castle Crashers" from the game list, then select the "Properties" menu option
3. Under the "General" tab, click the "Set Launch Options" button
4. Copy-paste the following into the box: -windowed

Same problem, except sometimes I don't even get the controller screen. Audio is defeaning, and Alt+F4 is the only way out. -windowed did nothing. Pls fix.

I have a similar problem, i can see the controller screen, then it cuts to black , then to the menu, but with a black background. The menu works but if i try to play it's just black. Sound seems to be fine all arround

A file called installscript.vdf reappears everytime, i deleted it once before launching and the game worked, but now everytime I try to launch again it reappears before the game can actually start, don't know if that helps.

so, i sent a ticket to them, in my case it was too many open programs at the same time, seems to be a problem with older systems, anyway try closing everything before starting the game. Worked for me

They told me that too, said discord was the problem. Issue is, that's how me and friends are communicating.
