Do people understand what "gg" means?

I'm so sick of being in games where my team is winning (or the enemy team is winning) And someone drops out. Having a bot that gives free kills to the enemy tean is not part of a game I would consider "good". So please- Stop saying "gg" when any team has a bot on it.

I hate how robotically people say GG when it was either one sided or some other thing happened to make it less than a good match. It's very annoying.

yeah, no, really. each time i lose it's either because i enter in lost game, am alone, have a crappy team, opposite team is made of laggers or ♥♥♥♥♥ like that, and people end saying "gg" when it obviously was not a good game and they didn't deserved the win at all.

i dun see thing that way personaly , i see so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the game recently ( insulting , provoking every seconds, etc . . . )
so for me a GG is a game with no problem where everyone respected each other .
and where everyone had fun .
that is what i mean by GG .

yea, these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are insulting. how bad. provoking has a cooldown and it can't be do every second and you can disable it with a click

I generally don't say it when the enemy team wipes the floor with my team.
It's not a good game for anyone on my team.
I also never say it when we wipe out the enemy team. For the same afformentioned reason.
But I do say it if a partuclar player was doing very well, despite them losing horribly.

it has two meanings. either that the game was good, ie, you enjoyed it. or it means "i accept defeat", when you give up hope to win.
in fact in Korean professional Star Craft tournaments, "gg" is used as an official surrender, at which point the game ends and the first person to say "gg" is the loser, although the winner conventionally replies with a "gg" as well.

I'd say three meanings actually, it's commonly used a gaming etiquette, a sort of mutual respect for your gaming partners/rivals. In a lot of vs games it's considered bad manners if you don't say gg after the match. It's a sort of thank you in a way.

It's strange, but it's kinda like when you say thank you to a cashier after you complete the "trade/buy ♥♥♥♥" it's not needed, but it's well mannered.

Guess it just boils down to opinions really, I'd be offended if everyone didn't say gg, as to me, it's a simple thank you for the match sorta deal.
Yeah, the cashier says thanks and then we say thanks, we also say thank you to the bus driver and other people who we pay for their services, it's strange, but it cheers people up and it's just polite here. xD
