[Issue resolved] I can't play it

When i try steam says it doesn't have an executable to.

Okay, that means it isn't a loading issue. I wonder if one files got corrupted upon installation. One thing that you might want to try is to delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TheBridge, then restart your computer, then reinstall The Bridge. I'm really hoping this will fix it, as I'm still not quite sure it would be freezing mid-game like this.

I am in the middle of part 2 now, so the game works for me. But every time I start it, it says it wants to intall .net and uses a couple of minutes on that. No other steam game I have played does this. Is there a log file somewhere I can check to see whats going on here?

I had a problem with the .NET Framework error:

I started by:
-Installed game and error (it took time getting to the error)
-deleted folder 'appcache' in steam folder. Restarted.
-still error but the error was much faster to pop
-renamed folder "_CommonRedist" to "_CommonRedist_". Resterted.
-no change was noticed, still poped fast.
-Downloaded/Installed only .NET Framework v4 @ http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
-Deleted The Bridge. Restarted
-Installed The Bridge on primary hard drive C (had previously on drive D)
-start up game works great.

ending note:
-Got past I-III. Stoped for the night at the start of chapter 3
-still have "_CommonRedist_" on drive D

Hey helgeras. There was a solution in a different thread that may help with your repeated installation issues, until I can get some help from Valve to get it fixed automatically. Try this:

So I modified the path at the installscript.vdf, created the necessary registry key and set it to "1". Now it doesn't run the .NET 4.0 setup everytime I fire up the game. =D

WELL, i think that i have a solucion for this problem.

The Problem:

I can't instalI XNA Framework be cause I had an error Code 2098.
After searching in internet exhaustively, i found that the .NET framework not always update the file calls "mscoree.dll". May be you and all of us, have the same problem and the version of this file may be 2.xxxx.xxx etc. (see on propieties of file)

The Solution:
.Uninstall the steam
.Uninstall .net framework (if its installed)
.Reboot computer
.Install .NET farmework
.Replace "mscoree.dll" file for an update version (eg. 4.xx.xxx.xx)

We have update the "mscoree.dll" file.
you could get an update version of this file at http://www.dll-files.com
replace it and now install XNA framework again, problem solved.

Note: You have to change permission of file for replace it.

.Install XNA Framework
.Install steam and download "the bridge"

Now im downloading the bridge, next comment will be if its solved or not.

Now i can play the bridge whitout problems!
