Persistent performance issue in the hub
I'm having trouble getting my last wisp, because after exactly 4 times falling past the tree, my frame rate drops to about 1 per second. Every time. And it returns to normal as soon as I touch the ground.
I've looked at my CPU and memory usage during these occurrences and nothing looks abnormal, so it must be a fault in the game's programming.
I've also seen some others that have the same issue. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi Jules,

This is the first time I'm hearing about this. Where you have seen others with the same issue?

Can you provide more information about your computer? RAM, CPU, operating system, etc.?

On this Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=3kvoyFKtupM) there was a comment by turrent54 mentioning the same problem, and also some others on achievement hunter forums and such. I've gotten the wisp myself now 'cos I switched to a desktop which didn't have the issue, but to help you fix it for others my laptop's specs are below:
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
RAM: 4 GB
CPU: Intel Core i5-4200M @ 2.5 GHz (quad core)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600 (integrated) and GeForce GT 740M (discrete) - the game is running on the discrete card I believe
It's a Lenovo ThinkPad E440 if you want to Google the other specs.
Good luck fixing the issue!

In the off chance that after seven years anyone might be paying attention and able to help:

I have this same problem. The entire game runs just fine except this part in the hub. After falling by the tree four times it lags like crazy. As soon as I touch the ground again it immediately goes back to normal. I'm running it on a pretty low end laptop, but it meets the required specs, I don't see any excessive drain on the CPU, and again the rest of the game runs perfectly.

OS: Linux Mint 20.3
RAM: 4GB

I know I'm running integrated graphics but when I check my specs through linux terminal I get two separate models for CPU and VGA:
Intel Pentium N3710 1.60GHz
Integrated Graphics x5-E8000

(I'm still learning Linux)

Anybody out there that can help?
