I've been wondering the same thing. I even tried reinstalling the game manually after signing up for the beta. The v-sync is good in windowed mode but I'd obviously rather play full screen if this is fixable soon.
If you've also run the game once before, open up the userOptions.xml file in a text editor. You can find this with your saved game data (see above to check where that is). In here you'll be able to change your screen resolution and fullscreen options.
If you haven't run the game before, you'll need to find the game's installation directory (Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/snapshot/). Under the resources/config directory, there's a file called config.xml. Open this in any text editor to change the default resolution."
This doesn't work for me. First of all, that saved game data folder doesn't contain an XML file, so I used the other method; screenWidth/Height and fullscreen mode settings do nothing, but skipIntro does. Any suggestions? Granted, all this is saving me from doing is disabling Surround to hopefully change the resolution in-game, but if there are no in-game res options I'm not going to keep disabling Surround just for this game.
Help computer?
2. Where are my saved game files stored?
On OSx, they are saved in the directory with the game.
They're stored in my home folder in a hidden folder named ".Snapshot" on my Snow Leopard and Mavericks computers.
1920 x 1080 is really, truly my resolution, so I'm a bit stumped as to how not to play this without a huge border. Also, changing to windowed mode while fullscreen did not seem to work either. I'm on Windows 10.
