Which Lego game to buy?
I love the Lego games and I definitely want to buy one from this sale.
I've played Lego Star Wars, Lego Star Wars 2, Lego Indianna Jones, and a bit of the first Lego Batman. I feel like the Lego games are essentially all the the same so it's best to just buy the one based on the franchise you like most (which is Harry Potter for me) but Lego Batman 2 and Lego Marvel have open worlds, voice-acting, and better graphics. I'm really having a hard time deciding. Is the superior gameplay in the superhero games enough to make up for my love of Harry Potter?

I've played most of the LEGO games other than the Batman ones. I'd say go for Harry Potter since you like that franchise so much. The graphics aren't all that different and the voice-acting really doesn't add much. Gameplay within the levels is very similar, but you will enjoy HP more because you already know the story. I wasn't very inspired by the Marvel story.

The biggest difference is the hub world. Harry Potter has a huge hub world (Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, Hogsmead, London) but it is made up of small areas that you must travel between. LEGO Marvel has a large open city that you can fly/drive/walk around (Batman 2 is the same, but with a dark, rainy, gothic theme).

The open world is pretty fun, but I think you will enjoy the HP games better. Get 5-7 if you're only going to get one game... gameplay is the same and the hub world is larger.

@milkfat Thank you, that was very helpful. I think I will go with Harry Potter.
@NiteNite 5-7 is a separate game, not DLC, so you don't need one to play the other
