Hogwarts crash
Hello, I want to ask for some help. I just bought and installed the game and after the first mission, when You go to Hogwarts and leave your common room, the game crashes. It happens exactly when I want to go to the moving stairs. I've tried running it with DirectX9 (Which fixed the frame rate), but the game STILL crashes.

Try pausing and changing your Video/Effects to their lowest/off settings just before going into the stairwell, and switch off any Extras if you have any on at this stage. If it's a graphics glitch this should get you through it and you can change back to your normal settings when you want. If the problem still persists try putting the game into a compatibility setting.
R-click on the game in your library\Properties\LocalFiles\BrowseLocalFiles\scroll down to the exe. file\R-click on the exe. file\Properties\Compatibility
There is also a tick-box in the compatibility section for Run as Admin. for all future start-ups to make sure the game has all permissions necessary. Plus Win10 has a troubleshooter here as well, which isn't brilliant but has sorted a couple of Lego problems for me.
Other things which solve some Lego glitches:
Set your sound card to 16Bit44100Hz
Make sure that nothing on your pc graphics is trying to make the game run higher than 60fps

Hope this helps :)
