Max Payne 3 stuck in Initializing

I installed my Max Payne 3 already but the game stuck in the initializing page. How can i fix this issue?

Guys, i have answer: First open file - MP3_Installers (C:/ProgramFiles/Steam/Steamapps/common/Max Payne 3/MP3_Installers) and then install all components (Direct X,Social Club, vcredist... except SteamUnistaller of course :-D) Now you must play game from original file, not via Steam, (C:/ProgramFiles/Steam/Steamapps/common/Max Payne 3/Max Payne 3/Max Payne 3.exe) and then run as administrator and problem is solved :-)

I found that solution on rockstars page. It took me a number of days till I found that solution. Still I feel that rockstar should have made a better fix for this.

Rockstar fkn sucks, like all the rest get too big and stuff the paying gamer, steam is really pissing me off lately, nothing works well on here anymore, I really am going back to pirating my games, at least they work ffs without all this ♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 days of many hours of reading and pepsi cola drinking...........
I finnaly got my steam purchased and downloaded copy of max payne 3 to work.
Here is what I did right:
1.Go on line through your regular internet browser and sign up for a rockstar social club account. remember your user name and password you will need it later.
2.Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club
and run renderer.exe (this will download the latest version of social club)
3.Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Max Payne 3\Max Payne 3
and right click on MaxPayne3.exe and than click properties.
Go to the compaibility tab and check the box "run this program in compatility mode for: windows 7
click on privilege level box, " run this program as administrator. MAKE SURE YOU HIT APPLY AFTERWARDS.When you have done this click out.
4.go to you steam shortcut on your desktop and right click to get to its properties. THE ONLY THING HERE THAT NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IS THE run this program as administrator. Click apply and exit out.THE COMPATILITY BOX SHOULD NOT BE CHECKED AT ALL!
5. Now reboot your PC.
6.Start steam if it hasnt started yet and inside steam click on play max payne 3 tab.
7. It should start the social club screen now. and the rest is history.

HERE IS A TRICK THAT WILL SHOW YOU THAT YOUR GAME IS HANGING UP IN THE SOCIAL CLUB LINK......Goto your rockstar file folder in program files and completely delete your social club folder and than try running the game. It should stop at the inializing page and tell you that your social club link is bad or wrong.after deleting make sure you go back and reinstall it back from your max payne 3 folder.
Go here and see if your video card is strong enough. My card was not good enough but thats not the reason why it hangs up on the initializing page.

If you have a legal copy than all should need to do is download it and go into computer under program files and open up the Max payane 3 folder and only change the max payne exe. file's permission to adminstrator do not change anything else the game does it automatically. Go on the web and sign up for a account for rockstar games social club account and than sign off, start the game inside steam page and depending on your computer speed and all that it should work. Its not as difficult as people are making it sound. If you over think it and go in and start changing a bunch of files around than it will never work. Anyway I finnaly got mine running and it seemed simple. Good luck and dont give up.

Well I had this problem on Windows 8-64bit, Tried everything and spent countless

hours but through trial and error I managed to fix it.

This is what I did:

1. Make sure MP3 is on administrator rights and it doesn't matter about compatibility.

2. Make sure social club renderer is on windows vista service pack 2 compatibility.

3.If you have a 360 controller remove it, after social club works put it back in.

4. Then search for program that adds an extra feature to windows. I had Pokki Start button for Win 8 installed soon as I disabled that social club appeared without a problem.

Some program in the background is stopping it from loading (look for a overlay program that changes the way windows works).

EDIT: Seems like the culprit is xboxstat.exe DISABLE IT! Then everything should work on Windows 8!

Just install old version of R* Social Club, for me works with 1.0.97.
