cant change to directx 11

can anyone help my max payne is stuck on directx 9 and when i change it it says i have to restart the game. when i opened the game and check the settings its still on direct x 9

You have lastest Drivers From Nvidia or ATI
Is your videocard a Direct x 11 card?
Other wise I dont see why, LOL unless your on xbox 360 which is only DX9

Do you even own a Dx11 graphics card?
Do you run Windows 7 64 bit?

These 2 conditions are necessary to run under Dx11

Tell them that you've tried the suggested solution for your problem and that it didn't fix the issue.

go to set launch options and add -adapter 1 AND -dx11

this worked for me
