SOLUTION for Steam and Rockstar linked accounts (maybe others too)

Ok guys, i found the solution and works fine, multiplayer too :)

The solution to this, and i know it works with other people's steam caches is as follows:

Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\max payne 3\Max Payne 3\ (or in the install directory)

Delete maxpayne3_steam.ini, steam_api.dll & steam_appid.txt

Once you have done this verify your "game cache" (right click in game, properties, local files), it will redownload those three files again. Launch MP3 then it will do the account link for rockstar. Quit the game and relaunch, there you have a functioning multiplayer version of Max Payne 3 again and activate the game wiith the key when log in the rockstar account.

In the game just acitvate the season pass and when the game reboot you'll have all the DLCs activated too ;)

Hope that this fix your problems and see you all in multiplayer too ^^

THis worked! thx mate!

After deleting the files and recaching , it logged in and started linking.
during the linking, force-quit the game and start the game again.

Worked like a charm

According to Rockstar support, adding -windowed to the command line options (right click the game in library, click settings or whatever, then set launch options) should fix it, and it did for me.

steam_appid.txt -такого файла нет. А удаление maxpayne3_steam.ini, steam_api.dll и проверка кэша ничего не дает.

What exactly does this fix? The "have to link accounts on every startup" or some other issue?

Sadly doesn't fix my linking acounts on every start up , I fixed MP by deleting the achievements.dat in the my documents social club folder though

Dudes! I removed this files and the step of verification of cache, but my problem still there. I can't connected with matchmaking's service. I can't play multiplayer. :(
