Keyboard controls dont have descriptions..cant rebind

I want to rebind almost all my keyboard keys for MP3 but I cant because there are no key descriptions. I can change any key I want but I have no idea what Im changing.....there is no JUMP or FORWARD or RELOAD descriptions showing to the left where they should be.

I had this trouble, it's UWHD(21:9) display issue, resolution change, and forcing 16:9 aspect reveals all texts

I had the same problem, because of my 21:9 monitor. I changed it to display 16x9, and was able to see the missing text. But then I had problems changing it back to 21:9, as the confirm/proceed button was displayed off screen. I finally got around that. I wrote down the missing text, and present it here for you:

Note that the multiplayer control related keys won't work, as multiplayer is disabled for modern users.
Also, I seem to be unable to rebind the WASD movement keys to be the arrow keys primarily (meaning that it defaults to WASD first and will not let me have the arrow keys as the primary choice). While the arrow keys still work for movement (as a secondary choice), certain moves like shootdodge require you to press the movement key and the shootdodge key together, which is impractical for me as my keyboard is set to work with all of the keys around the arrow keys, and having to reach for the A or D key in the middle of a gunfight doesn't work for me.

I also ran into an issue where some of my rebindings caused the game to say that some bindings were missing (when they were not), forcing me to either reset to the default bindings or try to figure out what bindings were causing it to complain, as it doesn't tell you. I never figured out whether it didn't like some of my key choices or what the problem was, but I was eventually (through trial and error) to get most of the bindings set to what I wanted.

well, changing to 16:9 aspect ratio didn't work for me... i had to switch resolution to 2560x1440 to be able to see the description of keys.
I cannot believe they did not fix this to the moment...
I want to thank to everyone above that tried and found solutions!
ALSO... the game has other bugs on my rig... for example i pause a cutscene and when i press ESC to unpause and go back to action... the game seems to go back but on screen i only see the pause menu, so i cannot play...

OK, came back to this post to share with you 21:9 users what i researched digging the net...
Seems like someone made a patch to fix 21:9 aspect ratio resolutions for cutscenes, movies and menus in the game.You are supposed to start the game, then ALT TAB ,launch this file Max_Payne_3_21x9_FIX.EXE , ALT TAB again into the game... problem solved, just tested it and it worked great!I THANK YOU AUTHOR!
