Fix: Social Club and not being connected to the internet.

If you, like me, have problem getting past the social club login process in the beginning and the game telling you that you need to be connected to the internet. Well here is a fix for it; You need to log out from the current profile and you need to manually enter your REAL social club account (email and password). You need to use the same account you use to log in at the social club website.

1, Go to RSC website and log in.
2, Start the game and log out from the social club.
3, Log in again using the same profile as in nr 1.

If you are stuck at the "Max Payne 3"-splash screen. Press HOME on the keyboard to enter the social club overlay. And then do the above steps.

Where are you in the game when you try to press HOME? Does it say "Max Payne 3" for example?

Yes, Max Payne 3 is flashing with the music, and bottom of screen says Initiazling... (after pressing enter key)

I've tried:
*home key before and after pressing enter
*Uninstalling/Reinstalling Social Club
*Verify game integrety through steam

Thats strange. For me, the social club overlay appears first and is unable to connect to the internet. Profile offline it says, or did say before I could fix it. It sure is a clusterfuc. So you can't even see the social club thing, right?

For me Social Club comes up... I enter my profile... then try to play the game... then I go back to the Social Club log in with a "connect to the internet" BS.
This puppy is broken... DON"T BUY IT!!!

It's broken alright. But there are a lot of work arounds. But you need patience and time for it. I totally understand if most people don't.

This happens constantly. All of the so-called "fixes" just seem to work. Social Club login on Max Payne will mess up constantly and begin working again for seemingly no reason. You just think you have fixed it, but it was going to work anyway. Rockstar has no concern for the PC user as this was a problem even going back to GTA IV. Games are great but the company sucks ass.
