Vortex launcher won't let me add MP3

I wanted to get back into the game using mods, and apparently Vortex had a large update or two (I last used it in 2022). I tried adding MP3 to my games to start adding mods and it wasn't an option out of the 331 games the Vortex manager claims it supports. Help?

in my experience the game is very sensitive to modding
mainly because the constant launcher updates and stealth patches the game gets

its best to keep a manual list that you manage yourself
